Ecopsychology
"The need for an ecological psychology occurs alongside the need for ecological sensitivity in the natural world. These forms of ecology, psychological and biological, belong together, and we cannot have one without the other. The need for a natural ecology can only be based on a new awareness of an inward or spiritual ecology. The problems of human nature and physical nature mirror each other and have arisen as a result of dualisms that must be overcome." - David Tacey, The Darkening Spirit, p.80
A person without earth is in crisis, or is homeless and in exile. Such a person has lost his or her grounding. A person without earth feels empty, alone, and confused. She or he suffers from invisibility and anonymity. - Malidoma Some, Healing Wisdom of Africa
